As co-director of the Dalby Forest Cycle Hub in the North York Moors National Park, Robert Dennis Brown, or Rob, has been nominated for Tourism Superstar due to his commitment to sharing his passion for cycling with the community, in particular with children, through his 'Learn to ride in 90 minutes' programme which helps instill confidence and a love of the great outdoors.
He has also been a pivotal figure in the development of accessible tourism as part of the Accessible North York Moors project. Under his leadership, the Dalby Forest Cycle Hub has become a haven of inclusivity, setting a benchmark for inclusive tourism. The Hub prides itself on collaborating with disability groups and adapts bikes making the forest accessible for all.
Robert has also been involved in local cultural activities such as writing and acting in local Murder Mystery Supper Plays, and his initiatives have significantly boosted regional tourism by attracting visitors for cycling and outdoor activities to the area.
